Life changed in an instant.

A downhill mountain biking accident in 2018 left Kenton Matthews with a devastating spinal cord injury. Doctors warned he may never walk again. Today, he rides multiple times a week, leads two successful businesses and continues to prove that resilience is built one decision at a time.

But this isn’t just a story about recovery.

It’s a conversation about identity, purpose, discipline, health, business and learning to focus on what you can control when life doesn’t go to plan.

In this episode, Kenton shares the moments no one sees, the physical challenges he still lives with every day, the mental battle of rebuilding his life, the lessons he’s learnt through adversity, and why he believes health is our greatest asset.

We also explore:

• The mindset that helped him learn to walk again

• Why he got back on the bike after nearly losing everything

• Building successful businesses through resilience and accountability

• Why “control the controllables” became his philosophy

• The importance of purpose, community and taking ownership of your future

This is an honest and powerful conversation about what it really means to Build a Life that Lasts.
